SHUT YOUR BIG MOUTH Welcome to the state Where the madman powering up Is a fraud and a fake Two to midnight Dash lights flickering red Reality dawns That the heart of the fight is all dead Please sit down While we check your name and file Shut your big mouth And we'll keep you just a while Maybe force a smile Make your big mistake The problems towering up In front of your face All hope lost so no-one listens now Everyone bigging it up 'Til they break it all down Please hold on You're important life to us We'll be gone When you need to stay in touch Please sit down While we check your name and file Shut your big mouth And we'll keep you just a while While Password hidden Bet you're wishing you'd listened before It happened that way But the heroes are no more They all gave up Won't come back While the odds are stacked against Won't come back 'Til the rules are rearranged Nothing's changed, no Just keep track Of the places where you go Yeah we know Piece by piece We'll be taking time Step by step We'll be close behind Day by day We'll be seeing you Place to place That's what we always do

RUSTED PADLOCK So who am I? We've never met You seem to know me But I confess You've got it wrong In your assessment I'm not the one You second guessed You were the reason I went silent We had it made but still I burnt the bridge You were the only one I dreamed of I was a man who couldn't find his feet That's what you Get if you lose That's OK You got a right to choose I was thinking You and me could be together Like a rusted padlock Hanging in the breeze But infinity reached the end Begin again You were the laughter - I was joking You were the hope and I was hopeless You were the only one in my life You got away and that's why I'm still Thinking you and me Could be together Like a rusted padlock Hanging in the breeze But infinity reached the end I was thinking you and me Would stay together one day Like a rusted padlock Hanging on a gate Begin again There was a day Before we met The sky ablaze I can't forget I took the call But never spoke I got away And that's why I'm still Thinking you and me Could be together Like a rusted padlock Hoping for a change But the weather closed in again Thinking you and me Could be together Like a rusted padlock Hoping for a change but It stays the same I was thinking you and me Would stay together one day Like a rusted padlock Hanging on a gate That's what you Get if you lose It's OK I've got a point to prove

THE ONE LAST CHANCE Just close your eyes and count to five I'll be gone then You took from me what I invested in The real you In time we'll find a place to call our own 'Til then we'll stay where we have roamed Estranged The past is so buried deep I can't set it free In hard times I've carried you Through every storm Through every view This is a final call The one last chance to notice The one you've always wanted This was the place I guess the time was wasted on you Just one last look then we were gone I guess we both knew Seal our fate We are fools in the rain Feeling brave Steal this time and don't say Maybe we could change our ways now I close my eyes So no-one else Can see me thinking It's fine to find a place to be alone Time flies It's ten years I hold tight I'm still here But this is a last call To you and all you wanted I send it now To you and all you wanted The one last chance to notice Send it now To you and all you wanted The one last chance to notice Send it now The one you've always wanted

Impossible 03:10
IMPOSSIBLE We came back From the dead of the night As seasons passed Every failure was a fight But these dark days Carry love and so we pray The peace will last All of us here Everyone breaks But we go on If it's ten times worse in your head Not all is lost We'll always leave it behind 'Cos it's not Impossible To stop the train and start again Not impossible If you're lost in space you'll land again I'm standing right here With a smile on my face Nothing left to replace That's why I can let you go See? Escaped but I've got no regrets It's easy Sometimes we follow our heads The signs said: "I'll see you then" It's impossible To quit while you're ahead When I look back at all you said Memories get in the way So catch me standing right here With a smile on my face With nothing left to replace That's why I can let you go I'll see you then Oh yeah I'll see you then It's impossible But I'm coming back again Now I'm untraceable The man who gave it away Now I'm standing right here With a smile on my face Nothing left to replace And that's how I can disappear Won't be heading the way that you go now Won't be heading the way That you go That you go That you go now

BREAK A LITTLE BREAD Some you win, some you lose Some days you gotta sing the blues Some we sink, sometimes we swim At least we bother jumping in This wasn't in the brochure They didn't tell us all about it We walked away and then we sang It's never easy when The voices in ours heads they all said Hey man! Get your freaking head down Break a little bread in the sunshine Some you get, some you buy And some never seem to pass you by Some you hate and some you love And sometimes it's just cool to be alone This wasn't in the brochure They didn't tell us all about it We walked away and then we sang It wasn't in the way They told us endless lies and then said Hey you! Get your freaking head down You gotta break a little bread in the sunshine Yeah break a little bread when the sun shines You gotta break a little bread in the sunshine Break a little bread when the sun shines down This wasn't in the brochure They didn't tell us all about it We walked away and then we sang It wasn't in the way They told us endless lies and then said Hey you! Get your freaking head down You gotta break a little bread in the sunshine Yeah break a little bread when the sun shines You gotta break a little bread in the sunshine Just break a little bread when the sun shines down

INTO THE BACKGROUND NOISE I'm sorry that I'm right And I'm sorry that I left That I failed to carry on My bloodline Or disappointed anyone By following a dream Maybe far too long But I'm a happy man And that's all that counts These days the rest Just fades away Into the background noise Of a world gone mad And it's not my place It's not my plan Just pass me by I'm doing quite alright On my own I never was too good When it comes to life Complicated truths Are a hang-up from my youth In a long forgotten state of mind I could've been a traveller On predetermined paths But the maps were all drawn wrong Used to think I'd make it to you somehow Those thoughts would only fade away Into the background noise Of a world gone mad And it's not my place It's not so bad Just pass me by I'm doing quite alright On my own I never was too clever When it comes to you Tumble through the darkest of days In a beautiful haze A loner in the shadows Making permanent waves I'm starting to think It's not so bad Just pass me by I'm doing quite alright On my own I never was too lucky When it comes to love I've got nothing to prove, no And I've got nothing to lose

TOOTHLESS WOLF Memories made when the world was a peaceful place Of calm days in a freedom state Now agents with a room to view Make easy work of next weeks news As diplomats trade strangleholds And souls are sold for stolen gold Travellers take the haunted roads Refugees hoist their flags at the mountain pass Deadlock on the beaten track Down among the angry hordes The silent ones with empty boards Protest for the chosen few Refuse to move to pastures new Demand asylum for their clan From a toothless wolf in a sheepskin hat A toothless wolf in a sheepskin hat Liberties lost at the sound of the striking bell Road blocks on the freedom trail Half light in the woodland clearing Conversations overhearing Nervous eyes survey the sight Of uniforms and satellites Paying to negotiate A temporary plan for a permanent place Back-hand deals in a blacked-out van With a toothless wolf in a sheepskin hat A toothless wolf in a sheepskin hat

Packhorse 03:03
PACKHORSE All bets are off All clothes are on All hope is lost All that has gone All words are safe All changes made All roads are all in All locked away All packed away All broke and bound All points west All gone to ground All in the name of All in the shame of All in the game of (Love) Turns out the trouble up ahead Was a bottle in the hand And a woman in a bed It's OK, the demons in your head They've all gone away They were scared to death Don't fret, they've seen it all before Those wolves don't huff and puff anymore We're all safe now We're all safe now Now available to forget In every digital media outlet A work of art for the wheelie bin crew Yeah, it's not about you 'Cos it's what you do And what you choose The faking news Is always true Turns out the trouble up ahead Was a bottle in the hand And a woman in a bed It's OK, the demons in your head They've all gone away Cos they're scared to death Don't fret, they've seen it all before Those wolves don't huff and puff anymore We're all safe now We're all safe now It's a photo in a grey background You're out of season but you're fair game now You're dead weight but you're part of the plan They're selling by the pound If the market shows The numbers grow It's always closed It's who you know Turns out the trouble up ahead Was a bottle in the hand And a woman in a bed It's OK, the demons in your head They've all gone away They were scared to death Some say help is on the way But the calvary charge is a fortnight late Your heroes See them dancing They can't sing Just prancing But they're so cool

NORTHERN BREEZE This town is all you've got This world is all you want And these are the days they take The time you give The cash you make These are the shoes you wear And these are the people who care And this is what you're paid for She goes around Floating in the wheel Won't feel the way The northern breeze Will ease She won't notice how They stole it all Until she's free She won't feel a thing The northern breeze will ease Free the way Free This life is all you've got This world belongs to the Gods And these are the paths you take The ways you give The friends you make And these are the hours you share And these are the people who care And this is what you're here for Ease

WHERE THE HELL DO I BEGIN? It's all been said It's all been noted It's all the rage It's been misquoted Send a task force to the front But the powder's damp The edge is blunt If you don't think Or dream big Where the hell do I begin? I've been down but found the way back I've been reckoning in the dead grass There's nothing wrong with fighting demons If it kills the time to open season Don't think Or dream big Where the hell do I begin? Do I begin? Come back to life The whole thing's changed Peace among the trees is all that remains The lines are drawn but no-one's seen them Hold your nerve The last bus leads to freedom If you don't think Or dream big Where the hell do I begin? It's easy You don't buy A second chance to do the same Don't think Or dream big Where the hell do I begin?

about

"On the 1st of January 2020, I made the decision to leave social media for a month in order to write music for at least one hour per day. The plan went well. By the end of February 2020, I had recorded close to 60 new songs.

Just as my personal musical lockdown ended, a Covid-related version began. By the time Christmas arrived, I had amassed over 100 new musical compositions. Disappearing Act contains eleven of these songs."
